Did anyone catch the two-fold interview on the TODAY Show with Katie Couric?

What a joke! And where was Andrea Yates' representation? No family members from her side! I smell a division brewing in that family.

Just like on Friday during the separate news conferences, hasn't anyone noticed this? Your thoughts and comments.

Andrea's mom also scolded him for leaving Andrea alone. Seems EVERYONE knew who sick she was except him. If he tries to sue the docs, he's barking up the wrong tree. The family was disgusted with that too that he is blaming the medical community.

The DA's office here is getting flooded with calls to prosecute Russell according to our news. I plan on being one of them today.

No, she didn't, as I was waiting for her to do so and she completely avoided that subject line, she was obviously walking on eggshells!

I don't know how to create a thread, but part of the interview was on the news last night. So, I went to one of the latest Yates threads and posted the info to ALL. I know here locally, the interview will be replayed on the noon and 6:00 news.

He was too wrapped up with his own life- NASA and a new sexkitten, it's just a matter of time before that story breaks!

They didn't give Russell a free pass at all. They said Andrea never complained. They were asked "where were you all?" and the mom said she was there 13 hours a day. She was the one nagging Russell. He was considering letting her drive the next week too, and she couldn't believe it. The mom said she watched the kids one time when Andrea was having the 4th child. Russell was there and she mentioned one needed changing, and he said "this will be a first, I have never changed a diaper." The mom was shocked.

They knew she was dangerous, because they had to hide all the knives in the home. Her mom comes over and sees a butcher block with knives and says "Russell why are these here?" He didn't give a crap about anyone but himself.

You think it's possible he was hoping she would kill herslef?

Wow! All this time I am thinking, as according to Rusty and Mom Dora that they were the primary caretakers of the five children, Dora said so this morning to Katie C., that they were so "exhausted, caring for five children and Andrea was only allowed two hours a day to be alone with the kids".

Now we are hearing the other side. I feel terrible for Mrs. Kennedy, here is an older woman that had just buried her cancerous husband and had her own grieving to do, then the Andrea tradegy, it's a shame and I have no bad feelings for Mrs. Kennedy!

There are plenty of desperate sexkittens looking for a mealticket out there and believe me he has them lined up in droves! He's a good looking chap, an ex-football player!

It sounds like her family are nothing but fruitcakes too who did little to help Andrea out of that situation. They couldn't have really been very loving if they let their own daughter/sister stay in that condition. Enough blame to go around I think to many.

If I saw my daughter looking that way, I don't care if I was grieving over a spouse ---I'd certainly have done something more than what she did ---apparently nothing. Someone should have gotten Andrea away from those kids. They could have sent her to a state institution or something.

I have actually wondered that. Maybe not believing in divorce, he saw a way out if she would axe herself for good. He certainly wasn't overly worried she might hurt herself again.

I wish I had paid closer attention to all that was being said... I was getting my son ready for school and was distracted....... but they definitely are not happy with him and mentioned that in regard to Andrea (mental problems or children problems?) he would use the term "buck up".....meaning just get over it and do what is needed.....

I have suspected the entire family ignored her problems because of his and her strict views on their roles in life.... they didn't want to start a big fight....
