Sorry man, Glen Frey of the Eagles (along with cowriter Don Henley) are not conservatives. They're big liberal supporters. They've done fund raisers for Jerry Brown. Don Felder was the closest thing to a conservative in the band and they fired him.
I like the lyrics of "Get Over It" also, even saw Henley introduce the song during their Hell Freezes Over tour. I think it's more his tune then Freys. Can't explain how someone who puts those thoughts to paper can do benefit concerts for the likes of Marty Meehan.
You're right. During the 2000 presidential election , Frey traveled (or met ) with Al Gore and supported his campaign here in Michigan.
