YES can be about as daffy/New Age as they come. (Well, I suppose they defined it.) But their song Money is very funny. It has running commentary by a Labour party member about taxation that's very Pythonesque.

Then there's the song that the Rolling Stones wrote to snap the "gimme gimme"-somes back to reality "You Can't Always Get What You Want" :)
