FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) -- Adam Vinatieri, the New England kicker whose 48-yard field goal as time expired gave the franchise its first Super Bowl championship, signed a multiyear contract Friday.
Vinatieri, 29, was instrumental in the Patriots' improbable playoff run, hitting a 45-yard game-tying field goal and a 23-yard game-winner in driving snow in the Patriots' 16-13 playoff win against the Oakland Raiders. He had five game-winning field goals last season.

Adam hit the two best kicks EVER, one 45 yarder into the snow to send the playoff game against Oakland into overtime (where he also kicked the game winner), and the Super Bowl winner as time expired.
