Why should anybody, Catholics included, care about this?

You are smart enough to answer your own question.

Okay, this is how I feel about it:

A duck walks into a bar.

"Got any grapes?" he asks the bartender.

"Nope."

So the duck leaves.

The next day, the duck comes back.

"Got any grapes?" he asks.

"Nope," says the bartender.

The next day....the duck comes back again.

"Got any grapes?"

"Look, duck," says the bartender, "I didn't have any grapes yesterday, I don't have any today, and I'm not going to have any tomorrow. And if you come back here asking for grapes again, I'm gonna nail your feet to the bar."

The duck leaves....

The next day, the duck comes back.

He walks up to the bartender.

"Got any nails?"

"Nope."

"Got any grapes?"

:)

Because Father Fessio is such a great example of what it means to be a servant of God and the Church and because his great talent will not be utilized in the founding of of a college that has great promise for the Church, particularly in a time when there are so few orthodox Colleges in existence today. It was jealousy and fear that led them to get rid of him. Father's obedience is exemplary and a great sign of hope for those who have been driven to the edges by AMChurch people who have seized the reigns of power.
