Talk about your incumbent advantage.
The Davis administration has mandated that every state department, agency and commission Web page include a link to Gov. Gray Davis' official online site.
The link itself -- a 1-inch-by-2-inch box -- has a mug shot of a smiling Davis, as well as an invitation to "Visit the Governor's New Homepage." It will appear in the upper right corner of most state Web sites, according to Arun Baheti, state director of eGovernment.

No, Gray, you're an egomaniacal control freak. And you're not that smart, either.
Really? Maybe we should ask and then complain their site design is too cluttered. Or, just ask for a google search box -- that's more useful than Davis's picture.
The picture of grinning Gray Davis is really annoying.
(I checked; it's on the DMV page, and the FTB page has the same design, although it doesn't load as quickly)

Couldn't they find a more prominent place? He's right under the search feature, now. Will Californian's click on the link, or choose the search feature to find Gov. Gray?
