BTW, why did Chery Oteri leave SNL? I imagine just like everyone else that leaves that show she did it "to pursue other projects". Some folks get more "other projects" than others. Ask Dana Carvey.

If you want a truly politically incorrect show, I suggest watching "The Shield" on FX. Tonight's pilot was about as politically incorrect as one could possibly get...
e.g. Caucasian detective tells hispanic captain that he isn't in charge...."not even on Cinco de Mayo."
Caution: the show is very graphic.

I just caught this for the first time tonight. Colin Quinn put together a piece of art here. I have not laughed so hard at a network show in years. DO NOT MESS WITH THE FORMULA NBC!

That was a really good first episode, wasn't it? I never suspected that ending.

(Plus, seems like he could never read an entire sentence without tripping over his tongue.) Is he still Collin "That's my story and I'm sticking to it" Quinn?

...think that he was just engaging in a little 'they all look alike' labeling. same way
as all of caucasian persuasion are called 'cracker'.
Just a re-tread of the line in the old "Charlie Chan" movies.
When the venerable Chinese sleuth would say something to the effect "All White People Look Same
To Me", it was a guarantee laugh line.

Story I heard on Cheri, NBC was supposed to be giving her a show of her own, but to date, they just haven't been able to come up with something for her. Seems strange, talented dame like her, (I LOVE her Debbie Reynolds send-up!)
Also, I think Dana Carvey's heart troubles stalled out the career moves he was trying to make, FWIW.

Isn't Quinn a hardcore lefty?

Since that show got cancelled, I have not heard from him since. Unlike other "retired" MTV personages, he has not moved on to infomercials. At the moment, my I'm enduring brain-freeze to be able to give you specifics, but I've seen him being hawked as host for some cable (USA Network?) show -- he's got horn-rimmed glasses, saw him at some kind of table. I just can remember if it's a game show or talk show. Next time I see the commercial ...
