[history]
March 8, 2002 -- HOWARD Stern says a report that CBS is considering him as a replacement for David Letterman is "right on the money" and says he'd take the job "provided the details of the money are worked out." Stern also claims CBS had ulterior motives for leaking that information to Internet columnist Matt Drudge - and that Letterman is behind the leaks about his headline-making negotiations with ABC.

Gotta say one thing about Howard: He does have self-confidence.

Well, Howard would certainly be more entertaining than the Gap (or The Chin), but I'd still rather see The Diceman.

Fartman speaks?

If they thought Bill Maher was bad, wait till Howard Stern does his schtick
on CBS and just watch the advertizers bolt for the door in record time.
By the way, Howard kicks his own @$$, and loves every minute of it.

I read the headline as "I'D KICK DAVIS' BUTT". Thought the Libertarian Party was finally fielding a credible candidate.

The Diceman? Man, can you image that on prime time? It would be a riot because the moral majority types would pass out from apoplexy. But I would laugh my *ss off.
Hickory, Dickory, Dock... Heh, what a riot.

I'd rather watch paint dry than Stern. It sure would be a lot more up-lifting also...

Stern just turns my stomach. Not entertaining in the least. Just a crude clown.

I remember when he did Magic Johnson's short-lived night show. He was so nervous, he talked a mile a minute and wouldn't let Magic get a work in edge-wise.

Dittos. His existance on this planet is a waste of natural resources.

When I saw it, my first thought was "You mean like last time your show was on CBS and cancelled?"

I'D KICK DAVE'S BUTT: STERN I can see it now. An endless parade of sluts and whores and their male counterparts. Is this what television has come to? And all within one lifetime, mine.

howard has become more confident in front of the cameras and is a very able interviewer but dave isn't going to leave so it's moot.

Gotta say one thing about Howard: He does have self-confidence. People can say what they want about Howard, but he is a self made guy.

Well, Howard would certainly be more entertaining than the Gap (or The Chin), but I'd still rather see The Diceman. Dice got progressively worse, plus he doesn't have the pull with celebrities wthat Howard has.
