They were late filing papers that showed interests in power firms.

The state Department of Water Resources has acknowledged that it violated state ethics laws when it hired consultants to help California cope with the energy crisis last year, and has agreed to pay $69,500 in fines.

Just more evidence of the criminal activity done under and by the Fascist Davis.

Elect Simon, and then have Davis investigated for all of the criminal activities he has commited or allowed his under thugs to do. Get the evidence. Present the evidence to a Grand Jury. Then go to trial and if guilty he goes to jail. He and Condidit can be room mates starting in 2003 for the rest of their lives!

How about firing someone and fining them personally? How about some jail time for blatantly violating conflict of interest laws?

Oh, that's right. Most of the Davis Administration bought into Calpine during the crisis as an investment, and it didn't affect their dealings with Calpine at all.

I guess when it comes to ethics issues, Davis has a "don't ask, don't tell" policy. Hopefully, the fine has to come out of Davis office fund.

Lets just start with jail time for criminals if found guilty. Then, we can close down this illegal scheme/operation to control our power.

I just love it when one agency of government fines another. What do they care, anyway? It's the taxpayers who pay the fines, not the bureaucrats.

Try to catch the Kudlow and Cramer show on CNBC
where they are talking about Jail Time for criminal
acts of White Collar crime like the Enron case!

From 1992 to 2002 (I believe ) the SEC brought
897 cases to court and only 62 went to jail!

Not a good ratio at all.

Maybe Lockjaw here in California can be more successful !
