In our church, we made it easy for new members to start donating and become pledgers when they joined instead of waiting for the annual pledge time. It has been very successful and handles the problem of the normal loss of pledgers during the year. The last two years, the pledges and donations from new comers exceeded the losses of losing pledging members for whatever reason.
Any FReeper or Lurker who makes a regular monthly donation to Free Republic by credit card or check may add his/her screen name to this list by simply FReepmailing the message "I am a monthly donor" to me or just declaring themselves on the FReepathon thread.
The list is completely voluntary. It is posted periodically on the fundraising thread during FReepathons.
We want to see this list expand until we have thousands of FReepers and Lurkers to make certain that Free Republic, the best website in the world, will continue to be here and to grow. Thank you all for your support.
