ask any minority group they'll tell you that they have the right to make the majority do what they want. I see where you are coming from - but smokers are a minority. And we are not asking to "smoke everywhere." We just want the proprietors of private establishments to make their own determination whether they will accomodate smoking or not.

I don't know that smokers are a minority, but if they are most non-smokers do not have a problem with us smokers unless we smoke in a non-smoking area or if we're simply being asses with our habit. Even though I smoke cigars, it's only 1 or 2 times a week and I never smoke in any building so as far as I'm concerned they shouldn't have a beef with me. But even so if I'm smoking in a smoking area it's none of their damn business.
