Why the helo and crew did not attempt a rescue....the moment they realized a crew menber fell out of the chopper ?????... It just seems to me...and I'm not trying to start some s$$t. ......but I cannot just see the chopper flying away and leaving one of it's men on the ground ??????

Why the helo and crew did not attempt a rescue....the moment they realized a crew menber fell out of the chopper ?????... From what I understand, they didn't realize that he was missing until they did a head count later in the flight.

The pilot had to get that chopper out of firing range. He had a whole chopper full of men to consider and was under fire. Hard decision but it had to be made. He made the right decision.
