? About the Soldier Killed On The Ground
3-6-02 | self

Posted on 03/06/2002 3:56:35 AM PST by paul in cape

It seems to me that the soldier who fell out of the copter was captured by the enemy was then a Prisoner Of War. Therefore, he was not killed in combat, but executed as a prisoner. I've checked the newswires, and have yet to see the press release from Ramsey Clark about the mistreatment of prisoners.

... If more members of Congress had fulfilled their constitutional role of oversight of the executive branch, then perhaps fewer Americans would have died in that war.

Explain please ????

If you can keep your head while all about you can't, sometimes it's because you may not be able to understand the situation, or simply won't.

Go getem Gussy.

Stand your ground, let the blame America first crowd deflect. The best place we can meet AQ is on the battlefield. In Guantanamo, we are taking DNA samples because we know they will be out to kill women and children in daycare centers and office builidings again. "Allies" want nationals back, American "justice syestem" will see others released or out before they are 50.

I can only hope our soldiers take advantage of unrestricted rules of engagement. If any of you want to put the burden on a soldier to take a split second to assess a deadly situation as opposed to taking out an AQ, then get off your theoretical high horse and volunteer now.

If you are looking for OUTRAGE at the execution of the Seal don't hold your breath. Now if you want to hear real outrage wait until the GITMO freaks start complaining that the towels they wear for Turbins are not cleaned properly.

Of course, the murder of the Navy SEAL is absolutely wrong and leaves me angry and frustrated. On the other hand, Daschle had nothing to do with his murder.

You best check Da$$hole and other liberals records during The Rapist's Reign of terror and how they voted against the military - who are even now having to cannibalize some aircraft in order to keep others aloft. Also check his, and their, records on voting in laws protecting everyone except born-here Americans, while those others were plotting to murder over 4,000 of our own.

In my opinion, Da$$hole has plenty of American blood on his hands.

Da$$hole's public - worldwide - attacks on the President during wartime - emboldens the enemies of America, who might just not fight quite so hard if they saw American's a united front.

Peddle your holier than thou kissup to Da$$hole elsewhere. It darn sure won't fly with me.

Congress gave LBJ and Nixon a blank check and provided no oversight of their conduct of the war. Definately a Top 10 most idiotic statements ever made contender.

You are not only a liberal but if you are old enough, you likely spit at American soldiers, cheered Hanoi Jane on a NViet. AA battery, and enjoyed the sit-ins; contributing to American deaths.

1) ...a blank check?? House liberals slowly strangled off the money for the war in Vietnam.

2)No oversight??....go cleanse, the drugs are flashing back at you. Not only did liberal politicians provide oversight, they in conjunction with their complicit anit-American media,,,,,,,,guaranteed that American heard about "losses" even when we won. The liberals and media are EVERY BIT AS GUILTY AS McNamara and gang in what they did in Vietnam!!!

If you want a Congress that supports everything the President says and wants, then I suggest you move to an authoritarian or totalitarian state.

Anyone concerned can quietly go behind the scenes and voice their concerns to the President - it is not necessary - nor smart - to repeatedly, and publically, attack the President and CIC during wartime. It absolutely endangers the lives of troops but as usual you liberals don't give a rip about the troops - you only feel for those who would butcher Americans. That makes me sick

Can we demand our guys be classified as POWs when we don't extend the same thing to the people we capture?

Puhleeeeze. Civilized war existed before the Geneva Convention, you know. Probably more so!

And we all dote that these ragheads are "living in the 16th century"...so why do we concern ourselves with 20th century international agreements?

Just found out about an hour ago that the Seal killed on the ground was the brother in law to a friend of mine. Its sad and it kind of brings the war a little closer even though I didn't know him.
