And it is the teachings of other than those that Paul is warning about.

I was saved in the 70s by reading "The Late Great Planet Earth". Hal Lindsey has made it his life's work to study the prophetic messages in the Bible. He has never said he was a prophet. Current events in Israel and other prophetic signs indicate the time is right for our Lord's return. Jesus told us to watch and look up when you see all these things happening. I can't understand why some Christians think it is criminal to believe we are in the end times. Hal Lindsey sells his books in order to stay on the air. Television production is expensive. While he may live in luxury there is no proof of such a thing. I know if I have never heard anything I'm pretty sure no one else has either. He is a real blessing to me.
