I was screaming (well, TYPING IN ALL CAPS!) right here on FR when it became apparent that Lott had sold out the American public during the Clinton impeachment process by dealing out the possibility of a REAL trial. He should have been removed as Senate Majority Leader right then and there.

Can appreciate that - there was a loud collective Freeper scream on Daschle.

What I do not understand, is how, why 'sheep senator' is still there.

.... Lott .... sold out the American public during the Clinton impeachment process .... [And] should have been removed as Senate Majority Leader right then and there.

He would have except for three important factors:

He and every other senator values his own life time self-perpetuating appointment to the senate above every other consideration including the very survival of Our Beloved FRaternal Republic;

His party held -- and still holds a majority in that place and;

The fearsome and loathsome Hitlery Rotten-KKKli'toon and her every-bit-as-fearsome-and-loathsome Jiang-Gang cohorts still hold [Today: March 2002!] the more than three thousand "Raw Information" FBI Files they stole in 1993 -- and in every subsequent year until their squalid squatting and bemanuring of the offices normally occupied by Our Nation's executive branch of government was ended.
