He sat next to Daschle on MTP and let Tom spew his lies and did NOT challenge him one bit, yet Lott was with Tom at the shadow facility! He knew he was lying yet said nothing.
I am so glad someone else noticed this! I was fuming at Lott. Repubs have lost so many opportuniites! aaaaaaargh

Later, when asked about his failure to counter Daschle Lott responded "well, in the spirit of bipartisanship I felt it best to not say anything and keep the spirit and good feelings that have built up alive and going strong."
Ok, he didn't say that, but who doubts his answer would be very close to this.
