GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli helicopter gunships fired at least four missiles at the headquarters of the Palestinian National Security Forces in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Palestinian security sources and witnesses said.
There was no immediate word of casualties from the strike, the latest in a series of Israeli reprisal strikes and raids into Palestinian territory after a string of Palestinian bombing and shooting attacks.
The army had no immediate comment.
Palestinian witnesses said the missiles slammed into the compound in the center of Khan Younis city, which is also home to a crowded refugee camp. Ambulances rushed to the scene.
Palestinian security sources said the compound had been evacuated early Tuesday morning in anticipation of an Israeli strike following violence that included a Palestinian gunman's shooting rampage in Tel Aviv overnight and a suicide bombing in northern Israel.
The tit-for-tat violence has threatened to spiral out of control over 17 months of Israeli-Palestinian bloodshed.
hehehe
too bad about Arafat not being harmed
If the Palestinians don't check thier leaders and restrain the terrorists they will have a very rude awakening when the word goes out.
