Pay no attention to chillinvillain (reply # 11). You can do a topic search to see if an article has been previously posted--this saves bandwidth and reduces clutter, yadda yadda, but searches are NOT always accurate.

I agree Ive never understood the mentality of the searchite police. I guess their reasoning goes as follows 1) everybody spends 24 hours a day on FR so of course they should have seen the article OR 2) Although the search engine seems to fail to find the article in question it nonetheless is the posters fault. From a readers standpoint I cant ever recall thinking to myself, Lets see perhaps somebody posted an article Ive never read or even heard of so Ill search for said article, anyway. Ive NEVER been annoyed by multiple posting, but reading the search police posts reminds me of the DU forum posters (that is not a compliment).
