No.....maybe you're sane and she wasn't. Factor in severe post partum depression, psychosis, possible schizophrenia, and who knows what not--all documented over many years--not to mention being taken off off the drugs that kept her "somewhat" together.
I can't understand her. I can't excuse her. I do know mitigating circumstances when I see them. The woman was nuts, and didn't get the help she needed.
I also cried when I heard about the kids. I'm right here in the Houston area, too.
Mitigating circumstances are when you kill someone who is trying to kill you. All of these so-called 'insanity' pleas make me sick! I can talk to this witch about post-partem despression and having dealt with some a-hole for YEARS who was a diagosed paranoid schizophrenic and manic depressive I know a bit about what they're reporting about Andrea HOWEVER (and this a HUGE however) you don't systematically MURDER FIVE LITTLE CHILDREN AND BABIES and not be aware of what you're doing. If her husband had come home after work and found her drooling in the corner and crying uncontrollably, maybe, just maybe, I would think that she went off the deep end. Under what we now know of the circumstances...not on a bet!
'Sane' or 'InSane' isn't what that waste of skin and good air should be on Trial for in Houston !! !! !!
She was same enough to wait until her husband had left their house. . .prepare her children's death chamber. . .chase the ones around the house that were old enough to attempt to fight for their very lives. . .and. . .then dial 911 AFTER she had called her husband and told him just what she had done !! !! !!
Sane??
. . maybe. .maybe not. .
Crazy?? ??
. . . .maybe. . .
Guilty of, at least, 5 counts of premeditated murder ?? ?? ??
. . .Most definitely !! !! !!
So, wrap her up in 2 miles of Ace Bandages....baste her kerosene and light her up !! !! !! !!
