Muslims will not like the USA for the obvious reasons. In their prevailing majority they are uneducated and simplistic people whose filosophy on life and the world has been ultimately screwed by Islam. There is not A SINGLE muslim country which is a true democracy. NOT EVEN ONE! How can democracy exist where more than 50% of the population is under some form of gender, economic or political oppression? Europeans do not like us because of economic considerations. Now that they are uniting economically and politically into one super state, exceding the USA in terms of population and industrial output, they will want to be the center of all decision-making on the world stage. We will be dealing with the same desires for "re-mapping" of the world's spheres of influence and interests which preceded the two World Wars of the 20th century. Their aggressive export financing and the implied "anti-American" style in their policies in the Middle east are designed to displace the US from certain world markets and they are succeeding in doing so. Some of the reasons for our economic problems today are the shrinking US exports. The chronic "trade wars" between the USA and the EEU are just the predecessor or rather the indicator for the existing gap in the economic interests. Ultimately, even the terrorist attacks of 9/11 are the result of economic controversy in the Arab world (oil, Israel and so on). The world resents us for the large houses, the food bounty on the tables (obesity), for the SUVs and for the millitary might. In most cases they think the USA is the reason for their suffering. Also let's not forget that the US is essentially a different society than the ones in Euriope and canada. The Europeans have a huge state aparatus which is engaged to a much bigger extent in economy planning, social security and healthcare. They also have huge monopolistic enterprises which have grown into the government itself, whereas in the USA these areas are pretty much a taboo for the government. Two essentially different types of societies. Europeans are lot closer to a socialist model than they would like to admit and the USA is still in pure capitalistic phase. The differencies of the essentially different economic and political society models have been suppressed for political reasons during the "Cold War" years. Now they are resurfacinn while still not boldly revealed. Europe's model relies on heavy taxation (up to 90% of profits in some countries are taken away by the government) and central planning and running of the economy, pretty much like the former socialist states of Eastern Europe only without the idelogical "struggle of the classes" elements. So we have two different types of societies and the (still pretty mild) clash of the interests of two super economies. Do not expect them to like the USA any time soon. Europeans do not like muslims too, neither do muslims genuinely like Europeans, given the cultural, phillosophical and religious differencies, however both sides are exploiting anti-Americanism to economically revise the world markets and displace US influence.
