Well, since we haven't had any bombs or food poisoning in that area, I must conclude they were very closely watched.
I am hoping they had calls monitored, bank records traced, etc.
We shall see.
I also wondered about this for a long time. A few stories have mentioned in passing that the September 11th hijackers
did not carry the knives and boxcutters onto the planes themselves. If this is true, that can only leave the airport workers.
I would expect some murder indictments to come out of this.
It's great and all that they are arresting these folks, but where are the high level resignations for the gross intelligence failure that allowed for 9/11 to happen? I am talking about those billion dollar departments who we pay "to think the unthinkable and plan for the unimaginable."
Whether it was the massive short selling of airline and insurance stock just prior to 9/11 that apparently went unnoticed, or the comings and goings, suspicious contacts and training among many known associates of Muslim terrorist groups that were never investigated, there was a massive failure.
With all the technology and safeguards in place, who was manning the ship?
