I thought the women did extremely well this year at the Olympics. The feminists just cannot resist any attempt to drag out their old tired arguments. Erbe needs to talk to most of the male Olympic athletes, they don't have sponsors either...

Mr. Apolo Anton Ohno who brazenly attempted to skate past his presumed South Korean superior in the men's 1,500-meter speedskating competition . . .

They weren't watching the same event I watched. I saw Ohno clearly in the lead when he was hooked by the South Korean skater from behind. Look at the position of the hips! I don't think the take-down was intentional, but the South Korean was already beat.

of the 78 countries participating in Salt Lake City, 22 brought no women to the Games at all. This group included such supposedly forward-thinking locales as Belgium, India (which sported one of the first female prime ministers), Thailand, Mexico and South Africa. At Nagano, a smaller number, or 18 of 72 nations (four fewer), fielded all-male delegations.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics. Should someone point out that Thailand and India each only sent one athlete? And the "backsliding" cited here is virtually the definition of "statistically insignificant."

I don't understand why we need to have women's sports at all. Why can't there be just one 4-person bobsled team? One free-style ice skating event? Do we have separate men's and women's teams so that the women can win sometimes?

But the athletes we Americans will all remember five years from now (if indeed we remember any of them five years from now) will be Sarah Hughes, Jill Bakken and Vonetta Flowers

This woman is an ignorant liberal, possibly of african american persuasion.

The athletes we will remember are Parra for working at home depot, sale and pelletier for obvious reasons, sara hughes, michelle kwan ( in the same way we remember jim ryan and america's blonde woman long distance runner who also fell down), yagudin and pleshenko because they will be on tv for years to come. We might remember Ohno, the australian babe, the australia guy who only by his ineptitude won the gold, picabo street, the other figure skaters (because they will be on tv later). But no way in hell are we going to remember the womens' bob sled champion simply because one of them was black.

Why do sumo wrestlers shave their legs? They don't want people thinking they are feminists.

What a bunch of robotic fascist statement. Backslide in woman participation = evil male still dominant etc...

These people need to take a pill and reboot their brains.
