Philippine investigators said that if the United States had followed up on what was learned from a seized computer at that time, the attacks of September 11 might have been averted. No way that could have ever happened. The airline lobby wouldn't have allowed it.

There are some who try to excuse the Islamic terrorism on the grounds that it relates to Arab frustration over US policy regarding Israel and the PLO, or perhaps other frustrations in the Middle East. But we get plenty of evidence such as this that it is pan-Islamic terrorism, and involves plenty of Mohammedans from places which are quite unaffected by such issues. What we have here is a holy war on everyone else being waged by Islam, and the sooner we call it by its right name the sooner we will start thinking about it correctly, and the sooner we see it for what it is the sooner we will be able to act logically to defeat this threat.
