How about Daniel Parra! At least he would make a good 'reality candidate.'

HBO gives you free advertising That may have serious problems with FCC laws.
Broadcasters must offer equal time advertising opportunities to opposing candidates, at a similar time slot, for the same price.

HBO fielded a presidential candidate in 1988. His name was Jack Tanner. He was a fictional Democratic congressman running for president, and a number of prominent Democrats made appearances on the show in a mock
cinema verite. Tanner even had a mistress!
Been there. Done that.

This show would violate the new Campaign Finance Reform rules.

What would be great is if we could trick them into taking a pro-lifer who could show the HBO crowd the "other side" of all their liberal propaganda.
Sex in the City? This could be the end result these skanks are "choosing"?
The Sopranos? Big deal. Wanna watch what it looks like when an innocent victim gets really "whacked"?
Real Sex? How about "Real Consequences"?
They look for every bit of shocking anti-social material they can get their hands on. Just so long as the CONSEQUENCES of drug abuse, sexual promiscuity, crime and lawlessness are never given serious thought.
Let's find a stealth candidate who acts like an idiot clueless liberal brain-dead pothead until the cameras start rolling. Hopefully, it will be a live event!

Dammit! They stole my idea! I had already planned a run in 2008! I figured I'd get myself a tour bus, and my harley, and get some tax payer funds, drive around the country hold a few poker runs and pig pickins wherever I stopped and take the podium... have the wife and friends tape the whole mess as well.... Damn, HBO... I have been planning it on paper since 1994... oh well. No chance in hell of winning, but maybe spread some ideas and have some fun...

Just like ABC's "Making the Band", only more power when you're done.
