Get a decent AM antenna. Radio Shack has a AM loop for about $30. People in the rec.radio.* newsgroups suggest it
as the easiest step. Can always take it back if it doesn't help. Prices go up from there.
Don't know where you are, but I can get WABC for the 9:30 beginning of his show on a $20 wind-up radio. With the somewhat
higher priced Select-a-Tenna ($50-$60), sounds almost local. Terk makes one in between the two.
Does that work on little clock radios? I like waking up to the news on WLW-AM but since I moved I can't get it as well as I used to. Thanks.
