I remember it pretty well. I was 32 and living in Madison, WI. There were a couple of Badgers on that Miracle Team.

And one of them, Mark Johnson, was a Minnesotan just like eight other players and the head coach. That was probably the greatest sports day in the history of our state.

And yet, when you think of the 1980 team you think of Eruzione and Craig, both from Massachusetts. But that team wouldn't have been anywhere without Johnson, Neal Broten, Steve Christoff and old Buzzy Schneider, the pride of Babbitt, Minnesota!
