CFR is one area where I totally disagree with Savage. $$ may be a problem though it has worked this way forever and always will. There's no way around it. The money will get there one way or another...(plus I think it's unconstitutional)

Who the h*** cares what that blowhard thinks, anyway? If you think that Michael Savage represents the views of typical, honest Conservatives, you don't listen very hard. Savage represents Savage, period.

I heard his show yesterday. The problem is the way he characterizes people who may disagree with him even BEFORE they call in. I don't understand why he needs to put down other radio talk show hosts like Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh certainly would not waste HIS time talking about Savage.

There are areas of CFR one can agree with, but how do you have any kind of civil discussion with someone who thinks he's the only one with the right opinions? It's not worth banging your head against the wall.

Anyhow, I called Congressman Billybob instead on Radio Free Republic. MUCH more productive.

W/O getting into many specifics I also tend to agree with RUSH. He's made a better argument than Savage. Somehow we must get corps out of this & individual voters must be the ones that hold the clout.

You cannot buy what isn't for sale. Get rid of the "For Sale" politicians. VOTE!

It seems to me that when Corporations are the life blood of this country because they provide economic stability which enables every other part of government to operate, they SHOULD have a voice.

Prove it's a bribe and not the other way around, government demanding protection money!

If a black man commits a crime do you throw all black men in jail? You judge people one by one, act by act. The same should apply with Corporations, etc.

CFR as it currently stands is blatantly unconsitutional. Also see: Perpetuating cynicism, protecting incumbents

Savage is an idiot. When he started on the radio in SF he didn't know the difference between criminal and civil court.

It is a complete waste of time to call Savage to disagree about anything. He simply insults and hangs up on opposition because he is incapable of debate.

I like Savage. I respect his intellect and his opinions. But, hey, I'm a little guy (at least politically - not physically). If I want "my voice heard", I'm gonna use the "special interest groups" that I agree with, like the NRA, National Right to Life, etc etc.

If that means we gotta share time in the halls of Congress with Enron, so be it, but somehow I don't think the politicos who are taking Enron dough are the ones who would even give the conservative PACs the time of day.

Frankly, I don't think Savage has fully studied the implications involved in CFR, particularly the fact that CFR as it was passed will not allow any ad critical of a candidate and/or issue 60 days before an election, or 30 days before a primary.

He let McCain slide by any mention of his involvement with Global Crossing.

He seems to believe that CFR will stop the big money interests from influencing the votes of elected office holders and open the doors to more challengers and is not a violation of our Constitution. Savage's views are completely the opposite of Rush Limbaugh's position on CFR.

Mighty confusing to a listener of both programs.

Savage is a nobody and a deranged being!

Why are you drawn to him he was here in NYC WABC for a few times and drove us to rid of him.

There is enough that disturbed one with out intentionally subjecting oneself to it.

Savage AGREES with CFR? He's not on here yet, but perhaps Michael means real CFR, not the "eradicate Free Speech" section which is a breathtakingly unconstitutional attack on our Republic. Sometimes though, he can really get turned around in the wrong direction. Like his changing views on the War. Usually I find him on target. But mercurial.

There are certain things about Savage I like, BUT...

He's totally hung up on himself. The other day, on the way home from work, some lady called him. She started the call quite excited and asked how he was doing. There was this very long uncomfortable silence before she asked if he was there. He then scolded her for asking how he was doing and asked her to state her question. She then, a bit less enthusiastically, told him how much she liked his show.

I was so embarassed for Savage that I turned off the program. Hewitt, Rush, and Sean Hannity NEVER do that. They are courteous ALWAYS to their callers.

Michael Medved and Savage both have a POLICY about "how are you today". I called Medved's show once and the screener warned me TWICE not to ask how Medved was doing....Neither warrant my listnership. I don't like rude holier than though talk show hosts.

Savage can be great when he gets on a roll -- and when he gets the issue right at the same time. But he apparently didn't on CFR (haven't listened to him lately). Too bad he's such a fricking a**hole.

Put NOT your trust in politicians, or political commentators. Sooner or later, most will let you down. At least, so far, Rush has maintained his position on this, but, then again, who knows??
