CFR is one area where I totally disagree with Savage. $$ may be a problem though it has worked this way forever and always will. There's no way around it. The money will get there one way or another...(plus I think it's unconstitutional)

Who the h*** cares what that blowhard thinks, anyway? If you think that Michael Savage represents the views of typical, honest Conservatives, you don't listen very hard. Savage represents Savage, period.

I heard his show yesterday. The problem is the way he characterizes people who may disagree with him even BEFORE they call in. I don't understand why he needs to put down other radio talk show hosts like Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh certainly would not waste HIS time talking about Savage.

There are areas of CFR one can agree with, but how do you have any kind of civil discussion with someone who thinks he's the only one with the right opinions? It's not worth banging your head against the wall.

Anyhow, I called Congressman Billybob instead on Radio Free Republic. MUCH more productive.

W/O getting into many specifics I also tend to agree with RUSH. He's made a better argument than Savage. Somehow we must get corps out of this & individual voters must be the ones that hold the clout.

You cannot buy what isn't for sale. Get rid of the "For Sale" politicians. VOTE!

It seems to me that when Corporations are the life blood of this country because they provide economic stability which enables every other part of government to operate, they SHOULD have a voice.

Prove it's a bribe and not the other way around, government demanding protection money!

If a black man commits a crime do you throw all black men in jail? You judge people one by one, act by act. The same should apply with Corporations, etc.

CFR as it currently stands is blatantly unconsitutional. Also see: Perpetuating cynicism, protecting incumbents

Savage is an idiot. When he started on the radio in SF he didn't know the difference between criminal and civil court.

I always thought Michael Savage represents independent conservative thinkers, not just GOP suck-ups (like Rush Limbaugh does).

He didn't put down Rush Limbaugh by name, and he never does. He puts down other "prominent right-wing hosts who toe the party line". Since Rush is one of those people, Savage has INDIRECTLY referred to him, as well as many other hosts I can think of. (Mike Reagan, etc.)

Do you have a Doctorate? If not, then how can you possibly challenge his intellect?

As for your inane statement about the difference between criminal and civil court, you're a damned liar. I've been listening to Michael Savage since he started over 6 1/2 years ago, and he isn't always correct, but he is smart, independent, and more conservative on 95% of the issues than most people.

Savage is probably correct in his CFR views even if we don't agree with him. The CFR in the end doesn't really stop free speach and it just slows down the corporate money influx. Issue ads can still be run right up to an election and people can still give to their cause -- they just have to go around different corners to get done now.

It is a complete waste of time to call Savage to disagree about anything. He simply insults and hangs up on opposition because he is incapable of debate.

I've heard him debate all types of people on his show, providing that they are capable of debate... He just doesn't like to waste his time with total morons who have nothing to say.

I quit listening to him a long time ago. Now when I hear his voice I race to the radio and change stations. Maybe he has changed but he never used to debate anyone unless they were incompetent.

Ditto to your commentary. I often disagree with Savage, or think he presses the point too far, but he is an independent conservative thinker. Too bad he still thinks 3rd parties are a waste of time.

I agree with him that campaign finance reform is necessary, but this law will hurt no incumbents. It's just a way for them to fool the sheeple again.

Michael Savage's premier topic and his overriding interest is self-promotion. I get about a thimble-full of anything approaching real information out of a single one of his shows. I get that much in about five seconds with Limbaugh.

There's a reason there are minor league players, and there are major league all-stars.

I like Savage. I respect his intellect and his opinions. But, hey, I'm a little guy (at least politically - not physically). If I want "my voice heard", I'm gonna use the "special interest groups" that I agree with, like the NRA, National Right to Life, etc etc.

If that means we gotta share time in the halls of Congress with Enron, so be it, but somehow I don't think the politicos who are taking Enron dough are the ones who would even give the conservative PACs the time of day.

Michael Savage's premier topic and his overriding interest is self-promotion.

Do you mean like the first hour of Rush Limbaugh's show, where he kisses his own ass the whole morning? He has that arrogant "buffoon-style" to him, with his "golden microphone" and "talent on loan from God" nonsense.

At least Michael Savage gets to the friggin' point as soon as his show starts.

I get about a thimble-full of anything approaching real information out of a single one of his shows.

That's because you are a Freeper. Both Savage and Limbaugh report the same news and views today that we read yesterday here on FR. I guess it's just a preference as to style and content organization. You like Rush's approach and dislike Mike Savage's. I am the opposite. I get sick to my stomach when I listen to Rush.
