I read recently that the majority of the people whose voices are used for the 'canned' laughter scenes still used on TV are now dead.

Ah yes.
No one is allowed to decide for themselves what to shout and when. What a wonderful world we live in, all for the benefit of 'broadcast' and we must of course always 'push the envelope'.
This woman is an arse and should be shot immediately.

One of the few sports where fans are not choreographed is curling. This is true. Neither of the 2 fans would do what they were told.

You got me again! After reading another off-the-wall article, the posting line reads, "blam." LOL :)

This is no different than sports teams around the country using music, scoreboards or cheerleaders to whip up the crowd. I would think the crowd gets pretty bored watching snowboarders from Lithuania, Ghana and the like, while waiting for their favorites.

It's all about appearances. Nothing else matters to these people.

The laughter of the dead. Now that's spooky. I'm really never going to watch any sitcoms now!!

What's really pathetic is all the sheep in the arena actually following these silly instructions. ("Okay, everyone! BLEAT!").

Interesting! Amazing to me that the folks would listen to some clown with the mic. telling them when to cheer!

Gee...the Olympics are staged. I had no idea (sarcasm)...
I've not watched a minute of the Olympics, and don't plan on watching the ones in 2004, either. They're boring, staged, corrupt, and so on. Kinda like a classier version of the WWF, I guess. I'd rather watch re-runs of past NCAA basketball tourneys on ESPN Classic.
