Okay, I've got a "color neutral" idea. I'll be taking a page out of the book of Chairman Mao, surely a first for me. He and the Communists referred to Chiang and the Nationalists as "Running dogs of the imperialists."
Perhaps democrats, regardless of hue could be referred to as "Running dogs of the Socialists?"
