Will the Queen show at the wedding this fall?
Doesn't she hate Camilla...and then Elizabeth has to give her a title!!
To: FrdmLvr
Consort(A husband or wife, especially the spouse of a monarch.) At the obligatory 15 paces of course. That's all Victoria ever let Albert be.

I have heard that the Queen has been warming to 'Charles's Whore' as the U.K. tabloids have so lovingly dubbed her.
But giving her title and land is another thing entirely... better for Charles to step down than go on with the charade.

Stupid big democracies like Canada, and Australia, are still paying attention to the old bag?

In royal families there is a tradition of 'morganatic' marriages.
morganatic marriage
noun.
A marriage between a person of royal birth and a partner of lower rank, in which the latter has no royal status or title.
The most famous morganatic marriage was between Louis XIV and Madame de Maintenon.
Here is an article on the topic: http://www.heraldica.org/topics/france/morganat.htm

This esteemed publication also states that Elizabeth Taylor has a secret son. Give it a rest, please.
If Charles had done this, the tabloids would have murderered him by now. As such, there is not a peep about this.

was it Edward VIII? I think so. He was the last real man to come out of the house of Windsor.
He was also a Nazi sympathiser. Care to try that again?

,,, to a degree, they're not stupid. It's an insurance policy. Once you have a Republic there's a greater chance of Clintons happening. We're just starting this debate here in New Zealand. There are about seventeen variations (to my knowledge) of how a Republic can be structured. For a start, Parliament, a President as Head of State and a Prime Minister - as Ireland has it, seems the best option for New Zealand. Aussie has an upper House/Senate structure. That's vastly more expensive than we can afford or need here. The Monarchy deal with a Governor General as the Queen's representative has served us well and underpins the Treaty of Waitangi, which is the closest we have to a Constitution.
What irks me when all is said and done is that Britain still thinks it has "the Empire". This comes thru initially with some Brits who settle here - and some English tourists.
