Even as he plans his re-election race, questions continue to swirl about California Congressman Gary Condit's private life, with the San Francisco Examiner recently adding a new chapter. Former Condit girlfriend, flight attendant Anne Marie Smith, said last year that her wayward beau had sexual fantasies "that most normal heterosexual men don't have." Now the Examiner claims to have uncovered the tawdry details, reporting Sunday that "What Condit wanted was to have sex with [Smith] while he'd be in a full leather get-up." The paper said Condit's hijinks included a "chest harness and various buckles and bows. And he wanted an audience, all male." Picking up the story, the New York Post's Page Six compared it with earlier reports that Condit was in the habit of shaving off all his body hair. According to "New York fetish experts," the paper said, Condit was "probably a leather lover with a taste for kinky S&M rituals."
He said that it was beneficial for Chandra Levy that he run or she wouldn't be thought about in the press.
Well, the caprice that Condit wanted to realize with Anne Marie is still supposed to be a big secret. But here's the skinny: What Condit wanted was to have sex with the lady while he'd be in full Folsom St. leather get-up -- chaps, chest harness and various other buckles and bows.
