And I never said Marx wasn't attacking Judaism. (He attacks every religion!) The empirical essense of Judiasm for Marx were the objective-material conditions of exploitation and suffering that made any religion necessary. That sort of thing. Marx never advocates liquidating the Jews.
But all religions weren't equally bad to him. He attacks Judaism as being the religion of the oppressors, it's much worse to him than Christianity (although all religions would have to be eliminated eventually).
