Marilyn Musgrave for Congress
Marilyn Musgrave - For US Congress 2002 ^ | 02-18-02 | Bob Locke

Those of you who are members of Gun Owners of America have likely already heard from Larry Pratt on this matter. For those of you who aren't GOA members, I hope you will follow the provided link to Sen. Marilyn Musgrave's web page and learn a little about her. I am convinced that once you do, you will support her as strongly as I do.

Lots of politicians talk the talk then fail to walk the walk. Marilyn is decidedly not among them. In fact, she does a lot less talking than walking.

Her competition in the GOP primary is a moderate attorney who plans to put a ton of his own money into the campaign. Marilyn is a former schoolteacher and small business owner who doesn't have the sort of deep pockets that her competition does. She's relying on the generosity of like-minded folks to help her get to Washington so she can fight for solid conservative principles.

Please take a couple of minutes to look at Marilyn's web page. Review her positions on the listed issues (and know that her voting record mirrors her positions 100%). If you see in her what I do, please commit to helping her financially. I know the folks on FR are much more politically astute than the average Joe and Jane out there, and you realize the value of early contributions to a campaign, particularly in a primary. One dollar of early money is several times more effective than one dollar that comes in later in the process.

We have a golden opportunity to replace a solid conservative with another solid conservative. And I don't think anyone would argue that we need to keep as many conservatives in the House as we possibly can, and add to their number where we are able. Let's not let this chance slip through our hands. Please send what you can (even if it's $10 or $15, which ANY of us can spare) today to help ensure we keep this seat occupied by a conservative.
