Actually I think that was Jones' best moment when he smacked Riordan for his foolish criticisms of the Republicans and pro-lifers. He had great audience applause after that moment.
Jones' biggest slip was not answering the question on the "unity pledge." But to be fair, no way I would sign it because I couldn't vote for Davis-clone Riordan.

Jones did have some good hits, but unfortunately he came off as being angry and war-like. It would be easy for Davis to rattle him and wrap that "mean right-wing extremist" albatross around his neck. Davis will have a hard time doing that to Simon.
