My guess, however, is that these were not the first fake licenses she provided to middle-easterners, and that she was killed by prior customers to prevent her from talking to investigators.

That's the obvious conclusion. I'm just saying that she might not have acted alone, and others at possibly the DMV flamed her first. No mystery as to what happend to her, it's just a question of who did it.

Looks like we may never know,but this piece of crap(Smith),may have been a long time connection for many driver licenses,a basic for other legit ID.
I hope her finance records bank account(s) and the like will be eye-balled to see if they reflect that of a DMV exaiminer.

Maybe they hit her over the head with something, (or used chloroform, or whatever) and knocked her unconscious. Then they crash the car, load it up with gas, and set that off. If they had been smarter, they would have blown the fuel tank, so it looked a little less suspicious.

I don't know why they bothered with this elaborate plan, because we ALL knew this was a hit right from the start, they should have whacked her in a simpler manner. The most important thing for obvious hits like this is just to not leave any evidence, going to great lengths to make it look like an accident only increase the likelihood of the investigators finding something.
