In a world dominated by cocksure, battle-tested politicians, Bill Simon is an eager, earnest work in progress, openly delighting in every stage of his maiden campaign.
He listens to old Ronald Reagan radio addresses in his car, works the cell phone while on the treadmill, huddles with a "brain trust" he assembled for policy advice, studies tapes of past gubernatorial debates--and tries to learn Spanish on the side. If the wealthy Los Angeles investor loses to a Republican rival March 5, it won't be for lack of trying.

I found this article this morning and thought that it was a good backgrounder on Bill Simon, for those of us who support him, and those who may be on the fence. Because this is from the commie rag the L.A. Times, you'll have to click on the headline to read the whole article. It's very long, only 10% of it is posted here.

"In a world dominated by cocksure, battle-tested politicians...." I guess that X-42 would be left out on both counts. {;~)

Where is the negative stuff?

I know, pretty tame for the commie rag. But, still, they weren't entirely favorable towards Simon's "lack of experience" (gag me).
I liked this article because it gave a lot of background into what made Bill Simon the man he is today. I hope to share it with supporters and fence-sitters to get more people to vote for Simon!

"I liked this article because it gave a lot of background into what made Bill Simon the man he is today." His dad was a very impressive man. And Bill, Jr. is his father's son.
Californians would be well-served, should they elect him.

Lets hope the hispanics realize that they have more in common with Simon and the GOP then the gay-loving ultra-liberal Dem party and "Fading" Gray Davis, who will begin his vanishing act after election day.:)Amen to that!
