The question is will Boehlert and Potocki damage each other enough for the Deomcrats to pick up the seat.

I don't think so. His 2000 primary opponent ran in the general election on the Conservative Party ticket and got more votes than the Dem candidate, but still only 21% to Boehlert's 61%. Whoever wins the GOP primary will win the election.

Boehlert is the closest thing to a Democrat that could ever win in that district.
