In your simple world, the van Dams, missing a child, have hired a PR firm to make them look better in front of cameras. Try reading the explanations that I have posted as to WHY they may have done that.
I find this statement of yours interesting: "...all I did was repeat rumors...", and you continue to do it as if they are facts, don't you see something very wrong with that?

Exactly what "facts" have you posted? Everything the parents claim might not be fact. The parents might claim they hired a PR firm to help look for their child ---I tend to think it was for the sake of their own image. Sure I only can speculate one would hire a PR firm for image building but my assumption is because that's what PR firms normally do.
