That was my first thought - for all we know right now, this could be the body of an unsuspecting hitchhiker, and in the days it takes to ID the body, Ms. Smith is long gone... just a thought...;0)

DNA....beyond recognition with DNA tests has to mean something like cremated and nothing but a pile of dust. I'll bet they get DNA.
