President and First Lady Bush headed West today, on their way to the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. On his way to the games, the President visited the Cattle Industry Annual Convention and Trade Show in Denver, Colorado where he was presented with a new cowboy hat. Bush also spoke at the Utah Capital Building before heading to the opening ceremonies. Enjoy you daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: You know, I gave a State of the Union the other day and I reminded the nation we're at war. We've got tough economic times, we're in a recession. But our nation has never been stronger. (Applause.) And someone who has shown incredible strength and calm during a time of national crisis has been my wife, Laura. (Applause.) A lot of it has to do with the fact that she had a great mom and a wonderful dad. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that she was born and raised in the West. (Applause.) People around the country are now figuring out why I married her. A lot of them are trying to figure out why she married me. (Laughter.)

My honey is the only man who looks good in a Stetson (grin).
GWB's gave an excellent speech today - but it was distracting to have all those guys in hats standing behind him. (And I say this as a former Texan).

Thank you, thank you and thank you, my friend.
Even after the hardest day your post brings a smile to my mind and soul.
Yes guys, these two are hockey players...

Did you see that Esquire selected as one of the BEST DRESSED MEN IN AMERICA! Darn, he looks good in that hat! I live in Spokane, WA - about 2 (by plane) hours from SLC - and I can't get the Olympics because it is TAPE DELAYED!!! I'm going nuts.
W was great with the cattlemen. Good, solid speech.
Looks like a couple of Bushbabes among those Olympic athletes!

Ri, I love seeing the 1st couple together getting off the plane.. oh my. He's absolutely the most courageous, intelligent, respectable President we've seen since???? I can't remember. I'm 43. Like Dick Morris said, we need him added to Mt. Rushmore.
PS...today I saw a woman cloaked in black, head to toe (Islamic style) walking with children. I just wanted to pull over and ask her...why she was hiding her face from the world. Wish I'd taken a pic. She looked absolutely petrified.
