Does anyone really think we haven't passed the point of no-return?

At thiss point, as far as demographic changes are concerned, yes, I think the U.S. has hit the point of no return. The immigrants who are here tend to have more children than white Americans (ex. Hispanic birthrate is 3.4 babies per woman, white birthrate is 1.84 babies per woman). Even with no further immigration major demographic changes will take place. No one is stopping the immigration machine, either. Remember that 2 million immigrants (90% non-white) come to the U.S.each year, legally and illegally. The politicians talk about stopping this but haven't stopped it so far. Reagan said "This country has lost control of its borders"---generally a true statement but even he did nothing about the immigration situation. America is going on its inexorable path towards demographic change, and the liberals will have the last laugh. All this is happening while conservatives are busy arguing about the differences between paleo-conservatism, neoconservatism, or whatever. What will all these arguments matter when the conservatives will be outnumbered by the liberals and their new allies?
