I think he means textbooks of the 1950 era that claimed man had been in the New World only some 9000 years. In the 1970 era the books said 12500 years; the current figure is 19000 years for North America but from 33 to 39 thousand years for South America.

Light spheres are a common phenomenon in night-time photographs. It has nothing to do with the supernatural.

I took this photo of Katherine Harris at CPAC. It was a dark room and I had to use the zoom to get a closer shot. There is a blob next to Mrs. Harris.

.

Gee, do you think it is the ghost of Algore, the candidate?

Here's an excerpt from a March 6, 2001 Time Magazine article written by Leon Jaroff:

Michael O'Neill, a New York City marketing manager, had no preconceived notions about Edward but experienced what he is convinced was a "hot reading"--a variation on the cold reading in which the medium takes advantage of information surreptitiously gathered in advance. Given an extra ticket by family members hoping to hear from his deceased grandfather, O'Neill attended a performance and was singled out by Edward who received what he claimed were communications sent directly from the dead grandfather.

While many of those messages seemed to O'Neill to be clearly off base, Edward made a few correct "hits," mystifying everyone by dropping family names and facts he could not possibly have known.

It was not until weeks after the performance, when O'Neill saw the show on TV, that he began to suspect chicanery. Clips of him nodding yes had been spliced into the videotape after statements with which he remembers disagreeing. In addition, says O'Neill, most of Edward's "misses," both on him and other audience members, had been edited out of the final tape.

Now suspicious, O'Neill recalled that while the audience was waiting to be seated, Edward's aides were scurrying about, striking up conversations and getting people to fill out cards with their name, family tree and other facts. Once inside the auditorium, where each family was directed to preassigned seats, more than an hour passed before show time while "technical difficulties" backstage were corrected.

Linda Moulton Howe is an absolute wacko nut-case

She's okay. A reporter, does interviews. Maybe some of the people she interviews are a little over the edge, but she's fine.

No, no, you must understand: ghosts don't like being photographed, so they morph into a blob of light. Either that or the camera simply can't pick them up. You gotta believe me (you can't prove it's not true!!). And I'll sell you my book on the subject, only $19.95 plus shipping and handling.

The Ghost of Flight 401

Good story... long, but good. That one is alot more eerie and harder to explain than a few specs on a photograph.

If she was just interviewing people and going along with it, sorta like Art Bell, then I would say she is okay. But she is writing books about aliens running around making crop circles and mutilating cattle... she's gotta screw loose IMHO.

I have shot thousands of Digital pictures. I have many that have the same amount if not more of the same "Drops" in the picture. One is on a beach at night. There is thousands of these circles in the shot... Was I in trouble?

He was never a preacher. He was in the health-care industry.

I'm talking about the one from a couple centuries back. Unless this is a history joke I'm not getting . . .

(But I do know about Sam Kinison. Bet he was a GREAT preacher.)

I thought Johnathon Edwards does the song "Put a Good Buzz On"

Having laid around (and beside and in front of and under) a fair number of shanties in my day, you'd think I'd know that, wouldn't ya?

making crop circles

If you were to read about crop circles, you would realize that some of those are very precisely made to exotic geometry. They are also quite large. The stalks of the plants are bent by heat and often woven along the "floor" of the design. Totally impossible for even hundreds of people to accomplish with "strings and boards" in a couple of hours. There are never even so much as one foot print leading into or out of the area.

Treat yourself to some brain-teasers. Go read about those things. They are very odd, indeed.

"If I was on that flight , and had died in such an unexpected manner,I would be kicking some terorist ghost ass all over those woods for a very long time."

TFTF, windcliff. Remember, you thought you saw my dad, that once? Unfinished business?

"There are more things on Heaven and Earth, Horatio, that are dreamt of in your philosophy."

Though still, I doubt through wonder, and wonder through doubt.
