A curious thing as of late that I feel must be commented on. There are two major networks in Canada- one completely controlled by the Canadian Government- they deny it of course. Canadians were told by the "trusted and respected" icons of media- people like dear old Lloyd and prim school teacher lady Sandy, of the 100,000 massacred and put in unmarked graves. This was issued by Nato.

Suddenly and how very suddenly, after a virtual dearth of this kind of news, the whole thing is being rehashed. Pictures and allegations of secret graves and village massacres have been released in the past week. Milosevich has been freely mentioned.

In Canada, and it is proper, during the trial of a heinous child murderer/abductor (F.Roy), absolutely no damning information on the man was allowed. The jury came in -guilty and 25 years durance vile. Then the press released damning evidence That was not allowed at the trial

One wonders how this kind of edict does not extend to the Hague?

Looks like The Spectator and John Laughland are the last independent voices in England. Of course, he has to be careful what with the "libel" courts there, and all.

The Hague Tribunal is such a travesty, that there is nothing really there to debate at all.

The latest twist in the farce appears to concern the possibility may not be able to call any defense witnesses at all, never mind Blair, Cinton et al.

INet News

19:40 Lawyer of Slobodan Milosevic, Dragoslav Ognjanovic, said that former president at trial in front of Tribunal in Hague will not be able to have his own witnesses, according to the rules of that court.

This is pretty much the consensus of FR opinion for the duration of the Kosovo war. Except that FReepers were on top of it at the time.
