A number of years ago -- I believe it was in a book --someone on his Ph.D. committee said him getting a Ph.D. was a joke, his thesis nonsense.

As I recall, he said it didn't matter if the young woman accused of blackmailing him (something about threatening to reveal she was his illegitimate daughter) was his daughter or not. Not exactly the poster boy for responsible parenting!
