I don't know where Sorensen came from, but he was a prolific writer. The last I heard he no longer denied having written Profiles in Courage and had Kennedy sign his name to it.

Kennedy is credited with writing two best-selling books in his lifetime. The first was Why Enflad slept circa 1941. Itw was an extension of this college senior project at Harvard. The college draft was horrible. Father Joe had his secretary work on it. From there Poppa gave it to professional columnist Art Krock to rewrite. It was still horrible. The old man purchased somewhere between 35,000 to 50,000 copies to make it a best seller. The second Kennedy book was written nerly entirely by Sorensen.
