You have just painted the picture of a truly evil man. I have been told by backhoe on another thread with lots of links about FDR, and have learned about Alger Hiss, and the commie connection. How did Joe Kennedy wield so much power is the key question. Did he blackmail those in power? This is starting to sound like Clinton. Could this be the common denominator since Clinton certainly did not have any family connections in powerful places.
Oh, Clinton had the " connections " ; through the Arkansaas / Dixie Mafia. His mother's lovers, pavd his way, as did his " uncle ". What Clinton didn't have , was the Kennedy dirty money, to spread around. Neither did he have the " LACE CURTAIN IRISH " veneer. But, JFK and Clinton are more alike, than you imagine. Women, dope ( do look up " DR, FEELGOOD " ! JFK was stoned and flying, often, when he met Kruschev, and others. Even Jackie was shot up with amphetamines ! ) , cronyism, mob connection, and an inability to govern wisely or well. I also knew, in my guts, as soon as I saw both of them, that each was rotten.
The differences are there too. But they don't really matter all that much.
