Upon request, I have collected links to many of the earliest threads from September 11, 2001 below. I reviewed threads from the very first FR report (http://www.freeRepublic.com/focus/fr/520255/posts)through thread number 520326. Feel free to add other significant threads, including photo archives. Bumping this thread periodically instead of the original threads will also avoid scaring people with the headlines.

Freeper BCM was Battalion Chief John Moran. He perished at the towers. Some may have seen his younger brother Michael deliver some choice words to Osama at the televised "Concert for NY."

Freeper BKO was the famous Barbara K. Olson, writer and wife of then Solicitor General Ted Olson. She perished on Flight 77 at the Pentagon.
Thank you for posting these....I will be going thru each one tomorrow in honor of those who not only lost life but those who fought hard to save life.
Additionally....I was not on FR at that time...but on occassion have gone to those threads when a poster has left one. Freepers do such outstanding service from an Historical perspective...with their comments and photos and stories of that day.
Though it will surely raise differing emotions as I go... I will not forget.
BTW....During break at work today a group of us were talking about where we were and what it was like as we heard the news te towers had been hit. Amazing array of times and places and impact. No American was left unscathed from this.
Thank you very much for all your work putting this together. Not sure I can read it right now though. Still too painful. Wow, after all these years.
