So? We do not know whether or not life exists beyond Earth, however unless I'm mistaken we also do not know with certainty that life does not exist beyond Earth. Without that certainty it is impossible to conclude that humans are the "highest" form of life in the universe -- only the highest form of known (by humans) life.
