You do realize that the President is trying to call Muslims to a higher standard when he says that, right? You do realize that it is a ploy to keep the war focus on terrorism and not religion, right? Tell me you understand that he is trying to keep religious peace in this nation as well?

I've notice that President Bush has been saying "Islam is a peaceful religion" since 9/11, but it took his "Evil Axis" speech to get famous American Muslims like Mohammand Ali and Louis Farrakahn to call for peace.

They can decide if they want a war on terrorism, or a war against Islam.

He is being more than fair with them as you suggest. They can support the war on those who toppled the WTC, or they can support the terrorists on the basis of being Islamic 'brothers and sisters'. Not both.

Annie, thanks so much for clarifying for me what the goal really is when GW talks about Islam as he has. The man has more wisdom than most of us give him credit for.
